The Hughes visit to SU was a huge success, with 18 students from Percy Hughes Elementary School coming over for an inspirational day of sports and science. Our first stop was at Manley Field House where we met with Sean Ellis of the SU Men’s Swim team and Evan Brady of the SU Men’s Lacrosse team. We were given a private tour of the athletic facilities available to the athletes and got our own sneak-peak into what it takes to be an athlete here at Syracuse. Afterwards, we stopped over to the Hall of Languages where we were treated to a fantastic hands-on physics demonstration show put on by Sam Sampere of the Physics Department. Finally, our last stop was the Honors office where we enjoyed a delicious lunch and got re-energized to head back to school.
